The Jefferson Martin Transmission Line Project is a PG&E job that is putting the high voltage transmission lines underground. This is the first big attempt in the state to do such a project of its kind.
The Jefferson Martin Transmission Line is named for the sub stations at each end of the project, which in total is about 28 miles long broken into 5 segments starting in Woodside and ending up in Daly City.
Central Concrete currently has segment 1 and 5 going right now which totals approx. 80,000 of concrete. The Redwood City plant is doing segment 1 and South San Francisco is doing segment 5.
We are using a new design called FTB (Fluidized Thermal Backfill) to cover the high voltage lines. These segments should finish up in mid September.
